The Pharma Test / Pharmag WG-30 Wet Granulator Attachment is designed for research and development, pilot testing (Galenical Labs), and small-batch production. This machine employs the classic oscillating rotor extrusion and sieving principle. A four-bladed rotor at a 90° oscillation angle gently and evenly extrudes wetted mass through a stainless steel screen with pre-set apertures, quickly forming uniform granules. It can also be used for pulverizing and granulating dry materials or for recycling defective tablets. All material contact surfaces are made of corrosion-resistant medical/food grade stainless steel, fully compliant with cGMP, GLP and FDA regulations.

I. It adopts a 4-blade precision stainless steel oscillating rotor and a 90° reciprocating oscillation mechanism, providing an oscillation frequency of 100 to 900 min⁻¹, with a maximum production capacity of 25 kg/h.

II. The front end has built-in dual knurled screws, which can apply uniform tension to each contact area of the screen to ensure that the particle size of the extruded granules is extremely uniform.

III. Features a quick-release, tool-free cleaning and maintenance design. The rotor can be quickly disassembled using the two handwheels at the front. It comes standard with two sets of stainless steel screens, 1.0 mm and 1.6 mm (and offers a variety of optional aperture sizes).

IV. The module can be directly and compactly installed on the UAM universal motor drive unit, and comes standard with a highly transparent acrylic safety cover (Plexiglas Safety Cover), which combines operational visibility with ultimate safety protection.

• Oscillating Rotor Granulation Principle

  • 90° Reciprocating Swing Shearing and Extrusion: The rotor consists of 4 high-quality stainless steel blades that reciprocate at a 90° angle at high frequency, stably compressing wet powder or soft material through the stainless steel screen mesh to generate round, firm wet particles with a narrow particle size distribution.

  • Multi-process support: In addition to standard wet granulation, it can also be used for dry granulation of soft lumps/microcapsules, or for crushing, recycling and reprocessing substandard tablets using large-pore screens.

• Uniform tension fine-tuning and dual handwheel quick-release structure (Equal Tensioning & Rapid Cleaning)

  • Uniform tension from double knurled screws: The machine body has two sets of precision knurled screws, which allow operators to precisely adjust and lock the screen curvature, ensuring that all contact surfaces between the screen and the rotor bear completely uniform tension, preventing localized wear and maintaining batch consistency.

  • Front-end dual handwheel quick-release: The front panel is equipped with two sets of ergonomic handwheels, which can quickly disassemble the rotor and screen in seconds without any special tools, making it convenient for deep cleaning, sterilization and material replacement.

  • Standard specifications: The factory comes standard with two sets of standard stainless steel mesh with the most common diameters of d = 1.0 mm and 1.6 mm.

  • A wide range of options are available: the manufacturer offers 9 pore sizes from fine to coarse (0.315 mm to 3.15 mm) to meet a wide range of R&D needs, from micro-particles to coarse granules.
