Gear Drive Unit
The Pharma Test / Pharmag UGD Universal Gear Drive Attachment is designed for pilot plant systems and formulation labs. This device can be directly installed on the front of a P-UAM universal motor drive unit, efficiently converting high-speed rotational power into high torque output to drive various flange-mounted expansion work modules (including various powder mixers, ball mills, microgranulators, and coating pans), fully compliant with cGMP and GLP standards.
I. Employing a 10:1 precision reduction gear mechanism, the output speed of the P-UAM main unit is reduced to 5-45 rpm, while the output torque is greatly amplified by 10 times to meet the powerful drive required by various processes.
II. When connected to a P-UAM universal motor, the maximum output torque can reach approximately 60 Nm, ensuring high stability and durability under high load operation.
III. Equipped with a multi-angle adjustment mechanism, the operating tilt angle can be flexibly adjusted within a wide range of approximately 90° to adapt to the optimal operating angle of different modules.
IV. Optimized ergonomic design with optimized viewing angles: When various work modules are installed at the front of the main unit, operators can have a clear 360° all-around field of view without blind spots, and accurately control the real-time process status at all times.
V. It is highly versatile and perfectly compatible with a variety of flange modules, including cubic mixers, twin cone mixers, V-type mixers, mini ball mills, micro pelletizers, and film coating pans.
VI. The structure is simple and robust, and installation, disassembly, daily cleaning and maintenance are extremely simple and convenient.

Internal Precision Reduction Ratio (Precision 1:10 Internal Reduction Ratio) : Equipped with an internal 1:10 precision reduction gear mechanism, which, when connected in series with the 1:6 reducer inside the P-UAM main unit, can achieve an overall reduction ratio of up to 1:60.
Low-Speed High-Torque Dynamic Output : Reduces the main unit output speed to 5-45 RPM , providing strong and constant torque, specifically designed to drive heavy-duty process modules such as high-load powder mixing, rounding and polishing, and coating pans.
90° Angular Power Transmission : Precisely converts the host's horizontal drive axis into vertical or any multi-angle output to meet the needs of multi-dimensional rotation and tumbling operations.
Flexible multi-angle tilting and quick-lock coupling interface design
Stepless Multi-Angle Swiveling & Tilting : The machine body is equipped with a high-rigidity manual angle locking handle, which supports flexible tilting adjustment and positioning locking of the working angle, providing the best physical motion angle for tablet coating rolling and powder three-dimensional mixing.
Standardized Tool-Free Quick-Lock Flange : Both the front and rear ends adopt the industry-standard quick-release sleeve design, which can complete the connection of the main unit and the replacement of various functional processing modules by hand in seconds without tools, greatly improving the efficiency of laboratory R&D switching.
Comprehensive Process Module Compatibility
Solid formulation powder mixing units : perfectly compatible with cube mixers (CMP-7.5 / CMP-12), double cone mixers (P-DCM/6), rhomboid mixers (P-RM/6), and Y-mixers (P-YM/4).
Tablet Coating & Polishing Suite : Supports multiple sizes of stainless steel coating pans and polishing drums (P-PSM/8), suitable for micro-scale R&D, formulation scale-up testing and small-batch production.
