Pharmag TRM-S Triple Roller Mill (Three-Roller Mill Homogenizer)
The Pharma Test / Pharmag TRM-S Triple Roller Mill Attachment is designed for the efficient grinding, dispersion, and homogenization of ointments, creams, high-viscosity pastes, doughs, and various high-consistency formulations. This module can be directly connected to a UAM universal motor drive unit. Utilizing three sets of counter-rotating rollers made of high-quality AISI 316 (L316) stainless steel, it achieves extremely uniform homogenization through a multi-film squeezing mechanism, fully complying with cGMP, GLP, and FDA regulations.
I. Direct connection to UAM universal motor drive unit, providing wide and smooth stepless speed control from 15 to 125 rpm, with a maximum capacity of up to 12 kg/h.
II. Equipped with three sets of high-quality AISI 316 (L316) stainless steel rollers, which generate strong shearing and multiple film extrusion homogenization effects through differential counter-rotation.
III. A single-scale knurling adjustment knob (0 to 4 scale markings) allows for precise fine-tuning of the roller clearance between 0.05 mm and 0.30 mm.
IV. The outer rollers on both sides have a built-in patented spring-supported mechanism, which can effectively prevent hard foreign objects from damaging the rollers and drive transmission structure.

Triple Roller Film Squeezing & Homogenizing
Opposing differential extrusion: Three sets of precision-ground L316 stainless steel rollers rotate at different speeds and in opposite directions, causing the material to form an extremely thin liquid/paste film in the gap between the rollers, which can withstand strong shearing and extrusion forces.
Microparticle agglomerate pulverization: It can effectively break up solid microparticle agglomerates in ointments, creams, and suspensions in a very short time, greatly improving the fineness, gloss, and physical stability of the material.
Single-knurled screw gap adjustment system
Intuitive scale adjustment: Equipped with a single knurled adjusting bolt, featuring precision scale markings from 0 to 4, allowing operators to quickly and accurately repeat setting of the drum spacing.
Ultra-narrow gap control: The minimum gap between the rollers can reach 0.05 mm, and the maximum gap is 0.30 mm, which can flexibly adapt to formulation processes with different viscosity and particle size requirements.
Spring-Supported Safety Mechanism
Elastic support for outer rollers: Both outer rollers are designed with a dedicated spring buffer mechanism. When encountering non-grindable hard foreign objects or sudden overloads during the manufacturing process, the rollers can promptly and slightly retract to buffer the impact.
Protects mechanical structure: Completely eliminates the risk of damage to the internal transmission mechanism caused by scratches or cracks on the drum surface or by material jamming, greatly extending the service life of the equipment.
The entire unit features cGMP-compliant hygienic design and an easy-to-clean structure.
Medical-grade corrosion-resistant materials: All flow parts that come into contact with the sample material are made of AISI 316 stainless steel and medical/food-grade corrosion-resistant materials.
Quick disassembly and sterilization: The modular structure is simple and compact, easy to maintain daily, and allows for quick disassembly and cleaning without tools, as well as effective high-temperature and high-pressure sterilization.
