Pharma test PTZ 300 three-station tablet disintegration meter
The Pharma Test PTZ 300 is a high-precision, ICP-compliant manual tablet and capsule disintegration tester designed for pharmaceutical R&D, scale-up, and quality control (QC) laboratories. Equipped with three fully independent test stations, the instrument enables rapid and accurate determination of disintegration time and acid resistance of oral solid dosage forms within standardized testing procedures.
I. Fully compliant with international standards such as the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <701>, <2040>, European Pharmacopoeia (EP) <2.9.1>, Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP 18) and Chinese Pharmacopoeia (ChP), providing a compliant and highly standardized basis for disintegration testing of various types of solid preparations.
II. Equipped with 3 fully independent drive and timing test stations, each station can be started, paused and scheduled individually, supporting parallel testing of multiple batches of samples, greatly improving laboratory throughput and testing flexibility.
III. A high-precision mechanical drive mechanism is adopted to ensure that the reciprocating stroke frequency is strictly maintained at 30 ± 1 times/minute and the stroke height is 55 ± 2 mm, providing fluid mechanical shear conditions that fully comply with the strict pharmacopoeia specifications.
IV. Standard configuration includes a powerful 1000W built-in circulating constant temperature heating system and an impact-resistant fully transparent acrylic water bath with temperature control accuracy better than ±0.3°C. It also features electronic anti-dry-burning water level sensing and dual protection mechanisms against thermal breakage.
V. Modular pharmacopoeia basket design, standard USP/EP Apparatus "A" (6-well) glass tube basket, with optional Apparatus "B" (3-well) large tablet basket and dedicated buoyancy guide tablet press.

Equipment Introduction
Independent Triple-Station Operation:
Multi-station synchronous/off-peak testing: The machine is equipped with 3 independent drive motors and control circuits. Each test basket can be started, paused and stopped independently without interference. It can simultaneously test the disintegration process of different duplicate samples in the same batch or different products.
Precise timing management: Each workstation is equipped with a dedicated digital timer, supporting a wide range of timing settings from 1 second to a maximum of 99 hours and 59 minutes, meeting the testing needs of fast-disintegrating tablets, regular tablets to long-acting enteric-coated preparations.
High-precision pharmacopoeial mechanical movement:
Constant stroke and frequency: Strictly following pharmacopoeia standards, the frequency of reciprocating motion is precisely controlled at 30 ± 1 times/minute (Strokes/min), and the stroke distance is fixed at 55 ± 2 mm to eliminate mechanical speed drift error.
Low-vibration and smooth transmission: It adopts a silent and stable vertical guide mechanism, which ensures smooth and low-noise operation throughout the process and completely eliminates physical interference caused by external vibration to sample disintegration and breakage.
Pharmacopeial Basket Assemblies (Standard Specifications):
Multi-dosage form compatibility: Standard configuration includes 3 sets of standard 6-well glass tube test baskets (USP/EP Apparatus "A", suitable for tablets and capsules with a diameter < 18 mm); optional 3-well large tablet baskets (USP/EP Apparatus "B", suitable for formulations with a length or diameter > 18 mm).
Precision screen and guide plates: The bottom layer is equipped with a corrosion-resistant stainless steel standard screen (standard aperture 2.0 mm / 10-mesh, optional 0.42 mm / 40-mesh) and comes with dedicated grooved transparent plastic buoyancy plates (Fluted Disks).
Tool-free quick-release mechanism: The suspension arm adopts a tool-free quick-release structure, which makes it easy to remove the basket frame at any time during the test to check the collapse point, or to quickly clean and maintain it after the test is completed.
Highly efficient heating and circulation, and comprehensive safety protection.
Powerful built-in circulation system: Equipped with a 1000W high-efficiency circulating heating water pump, the temperature control range covers room temperature to 45.0°C (accuracy better than ±0.3°C), ensuring uniform temperature distribution in each beaker within the large-capacity water bath.
Integrated high-transmittance water bath: It adopts a sturdy, temperature-resistant, and highly transparent one-piece molded acrylic outer bath, allowing operators to clearly observe the sample disintegration process from 360 degrees without any blind spots.
Active and passive safety protection: Built-in electronic anti-dry-burning liquid level sensor, over-temperature power-off thermal fuse, and heating overload alarm mechanism to completely eliminate the risk of equipment damage.
Data Transfer & Laboratory Connectivity:
Sequence report output: Built-in standard RS-232 sequence transmission interface, supporting direct connection to external thermal or dot matrix printers to print test methods, breakdown times of each station and statistical results in real time.
PT-Node IoT Upgrade and Expansion: Optional Pharma Test PT-Node network adapter can be added to automatically send test data to a network printer via RJ-45 LAN or Wi-Fi, or output .csv files to directly connect to the LIMS laboratory information management system.
