Pharma Test PTG-S5 Fully Automated Powder Flowability Analyzer
The Pharma Test PTG-S5 fully automated powder and particle flow analyzer is designed for pharmaceutical formulation development, quality control (QC), and solid dosage form process control (IPC). It can be used to quickly evaluate the flowability, angle of repose, and volumetric properties of powders and particles. This instrument fully complies with international standards for powder flowability, including the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <1174>, the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) <2.9.16/2.9.36>, the Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP), and ISO 4324.
I. Supports five-in-one fully automatic measurement function, which can accurately measure the flow time, flow rate, angle of repose, cone volume, and density/weight of powder.
II. Equipped with a non-contact high-precision laser optical sensor, it accurately scans the geometric contour of the cone and automatically calculates the angle of repose the instant the sample stacking is completed, completely eliminating subjective human judgment errors.
III. It features a built-in high-sensitivity precision analytical balance and an adjustable frequency programmable vibration feed module, and offers a variety of interchangeable standard funnels and outlet orifices to accommodate powder samples with different flow properties.
IV. It adopts a color touch screen interface and has built-in methods storage, real-time curve chart analysis, multi-level user permission control and tamper-proof audit trail functions, fully complying with GMP and 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity regulations.

Product positioning and operating principles :
The fully automated powder and particle flow property analyzer is designed for batch-to-batch reproducibility comparison in quality control (QC), formulation development, and process scale-up design.
It integrates a high-precision infrared optical sensor with a built-in Sartorius analytical balance unit to automatically and continuously measure powder flow time, angle of repose, powder cone weight, volume, and density.
The dual infrared sensors automatically detect the start and stop timing of powder falling. After the powder flow stops, the sensor's lifting measuring arm automatically and accurately measures the height of the top of the powder cone and calculates the angle of repose in real time.
International Pharmacopoeia and regulatory compliance :
It fully complies with the European Pharmacopoeia EP <2.9.36> (angle of repose determination), EP <2.9.16> (flowability determination), the United States Pharmacopeia USP <1174>, and the International Organization for Standardization ISO 4324 (12/83).
