The Pharma Test PTF 110/210/310/610 series of tablet friability and abrasion testers are designed for pharmaceutical quality control (QC), R&D analysis, and high-throughput testing laboratories. They can be used to quickly assess the mechanical strength, friability, and surface abrasion resistance of uncoated tablets during production, packaging, and transportation. This instrument fully complies with international regulations and standards such as the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <1216>, the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) <2.9.7>, the Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP), and the British Pharmacopoeia (BP).
I. Offers a variety of flexible configurations from 1 slot (PTF 110), 2 slots (PTF 210), 3 slots (PTF 310) to 6 slots (PTF 610), supporting simultaneous testing of multiple batches of samples and significantly improving the efficiency of high-throughput quality control.
II. The entire series comes standard with a transparent antistatic Roche friability drum (with an optional flexible Rusch abrasion drum), featuring automatic sample ejection and a standard 10° tilt test stand, accurately meeting the pharmacopoeia testing requirements for large-size and special-shaped tablets.
III. It adopts a high-precision DC brushless motor drive, providing dual control modes of "set speed" and "set running time" (speed 20~70 RPM, standard 25.0 ± 1.0 RPM), and can be connected to an external precision balance for automatic weight reading and real-time calculation of friability (%).
IV. Equipped with a color touch screen interface, built-in method editing and storage, multi-level user permission control and full audit trail functions, fully compliant with GMP and 21 CFR Part 11 data integrity regulations.

Automatic sampling and non-destructive collection : After the test is completed, the drum automatically reverses, smoothly distributing the tablets into the collection tray, avoiding secondary physical damage caused by manual sampling.
10° Inclination Patent Mechanism : A standard 10° inclination bracket is built into the bottom of the device to precisely solve the problem of rolling stagnation of large or special-shaped tablets during testing.

Product positioning and operating principles :
A fully automated friability and abrasion resistance tester specifically designed for testing the mechanical strength of uncoated tablets and tablet cores.
Evaluate the weight loss of tablets due to friction and impact during coating, transportation and packaging.
The inside of the drum has an arc-shaped baffle that extends to the outer wall, causing the sample to repeatedly tumble and fall during rotation.
After the test is completed, the drum automatically reverses, and the sample is discharged from the outlet into the magnetic collection box.
