Pharma Test PT-TD300 Tap Density Tester

The Pharma Test PT-TD300 Tapped Density Tester is specifically designed for pharmaceutical formulation development, quality control (QC), and powder manufacturing process characterization. It can be used to determine the tapped volume, tapped density, Hausner ratio, and Carr's Compressibility Index of raw materials before compression into powders, granules, and tablets. This instrument fully complies with international regulations and standards such as the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <616> (Method 1 and Method 2), the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) <2.9.34>, the Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP) <3.01>, ASTM B527, and ISO 3953.


I. Offers flexible single-station and dual-station testing platform configurations, fully compatible with the standard pharmacopoeia testing requirements of USP Method 1 (impact stroke 14.0 ± 2.0 mm, frequency 300 times/minute) and USP Method 2 (impact stroke 3.0 ± 0.2 mm, frequency 250 times/minute).


II. Supports various standard graduated cylinders of 10 mL, 25 mL, 50 mL, 100 mL and 250 mL, and adopts a low-noise and stable rotary tapping mechanism design to ensure that the sample powder surface is flat during the tapping process, and maximize the accuracy of volume reading.


III. It adopts an intuitive color touch screen interface, supports custom preset tap counts and continuous test cycles, and can automatically calculate and output key flow indicators such as tap density, Hausner ratio and Carr compression index.


IV. Equipped with multi-level user password permission control, method editing and storage, and complete, immutable audit trail functionality, fully compliant with GMP, GLP, and 21 CFR Part 11 Data Integrity regulations.
