Pharmag PFM-L Suppository and Lipstick Moulding Apparatus

The Pharma Test / Pharmag PFM-L Suppository and Lipstick Moulding Apparatus Attachment is designed for precise melting, uniform mixing, quantitative injection, and cooling molding of semi-solids with high melting points in pharmaceutical R&D, formulation development (Galenical Labs), cosmetic pilot testing, and small-batch production. This machine integrates a 1000W double-layer circulating electric heating jacket, an active anti-settling and uniform mixing mechanism, a high-precision gravity-driven free-flowing quantitative valve, and a multi-directional fine-tuning mold slide. It can effectively process pharmaceutical and cosmetic bases that are non-flowable at room temperature and require pre-melting or continuous heat preservation. The maximum hourly production capacity can reach 4,000 standard suppositories. All material contact surfaces comply with cGMP, GLP and FDA regulations.


I. Integrates four functions: melting, mixing, dosing, and molding, specializing in high-melting-point semi-solid processes.


II. 1000W double-layer heat transfer oil circulation heating system (standard configuration includes 2L of dedicated glycerin), combined with a built-in stirrer (maximum 200 rpm) to achieve uniform heat transfer and prevent sedimentation.


III. Equipped with a fully adjustable handwheel-type mold support slide, it can flexibly adapt to various types of molds for precise injection, with a production capacity of 4,000 pieces per hour.


IV. Directly installed on the UAM universal power unit, featuring a quick-release cleaning structure, fully compliant with cGMP sterilization and cleaning effectiveness requirements.



Equipment Introduction


  • High-melting-point semi-solid four-in-one process technology (Melting, Mixing, Dosing & Molding)

    • Melting and heat preservation treatment: Specifically designed for suppository bases and lipstick melts that are non-flowable at room temperature, have high viscosity and a high melting point (such as 40°C), supporting pre-melting of raw materials and continuous heat preservation and packaging of finished products.

    • Diverse finished product molding: Widely used in the trial production and pilot production of pharmaceutical-grade rectal/vaginal suppositories, medicated lip balms, makeup lipsticks, solid perfumes and rod-shaped semi-solid preparations.

  • Double Jacket Heating & Integrated Stirrer

    • Uniform circulating heating: It adopts a 1000W high-efficiency electric heater with a double-layer jacket design, and uses a special heat-conducting fluid (standard 2 liters of special glycerin PFM-L Glycerin) to circulate in the jacket, providing precise constant temperature heating up to 40°C.

    • Synchronous mixing during injection: The built-in dedicated mechanical mixer (maximum speed 200 rpm) operates continuously during the quantitative injection process, completely preventing the sedimentation of solid active ingredients (API) or pigments, ensuring uniform internal and external temperature of the molten liquid, and improving batch consistency.

  • Multi-directional fine-tuning mold slide and gravity dosing system

    • Multi-directional micro-adjustment slide with handwheel: A dedicated slide (Mold Support Sled) is provided below the injection nozzle to support various types of molds. Smooth movement and alignment in multiple directions can be achieved through the precision handwheel, making operation easy and precise.

    • High-efficiency production output: Using free-flow/gravity dosing, the hourly production capacity can reach up to 4,000 standard suppositories (actual production capacity depends on material viscosity, surface tension and thermal conductivity).

  • cGMP Hygiene Structure and Direct UAM Drive & GMP Design

    • Seamless disassembly and sterilization: Both the material tank and the slide are equipped with dedicated metal supports, which are stable and easy to install and adjust. All material contact surfaces are made of corrosion-resistant, medical and food-grade compliant materials, and can be quickly disassembled for high-pressure sterilization and cGMP cleaning verification.

    • Direct connection to UAM drive: The entire mechanism is directly installed on the UAM universal motor main unit, which precisely controls the mixing rhythm and operating parameters.
