Pharmag LMZ-5 Sigma Double Arm Kneader
The Pharma Test / Pharmag LMZ-5 Sigma Double Arm Kneader Attachment is designed for pharmaceutical formulation research and development (R&D), dosage form laboratories, and pilot-scale process testing. This module can be directly connected to a UAM general-purpose motor drive unit and utilizes the classic double Sigma (Z-shaped) blades with inward differential counter-rotation to achieve high-shear mixing, folding, and homogenization within a U-shaped groove. It offers excellent anti-jamming and anti-clogging performance and fully complies with cGMP, GLP, and FDA regulations.
I. It adopts a standard universal quick-release flange, which can be directly connected and installed in the P-UAM universal motor without tools, and supports smooth and flexible continuously variable speed control from 25 to 225 rpm.
II. The dual Sigma mixing arms rotate in opposite directions and operate at a differential angle, combining overall material displacement, strong shearing, stretching, folding and recombination to significantly shorten the kneading and homogenization time of high-viscosity materials and slurry.
III. The tank is equipped with a high-transmittance transparent acrylic top cover as standard, which facilitates visual observation of the process dynamics throughout the process; the top cover sealing mechanism integrates an electromagnetic induction safety interlock (magnetic reed switch mechanism), which automatically cuts off the main machine power immediately when the cover is opened.
IV. All parts in contact with materials are made of corrosion-resistant, medical-grade, and food-grade cGMP-compliant materials, leaving no residue or dead corners, and can be thoroughly cleaned and sterilized in accordance with GMP standards.

Three-dimensional multi-dimensional shearing and folding: Two geometrically precise Z-shaped stirring blades rotate inward counter-rotating, continuously driving the material through a highly efficient repetitive cycle of "overall tumbling → strong shearing → axial stretching → spatial folding → reorganization" at a differential speed angle.
Sidewall compression and anti-blocking effect: When the material is pulled and squeezed against the sidewalls of the Z-shaped blades and U-shaped grooves, it can produce a unique anti-blocking propulsion effect, which can thoroughly and evenly disperse high-viscosity pastes, dough-like materials and slurries in a very short time.
Comprehensive transparent visibility and electromagnetic safety protection (Visual Observation & Reed Relay Safety)
Real-time visual monitoring of the process: The top cover is made of high-transmittance acrylic (Plexiglas) material, allowing R&D personnel to clearly grasp the progress of material wetting, plasticizing, kneading and homogenization without interrupting the process.
Electromagnetic safety interlock protection: The top cover sealing mechanism is equipped with a highly sensitive reed relay mechanism. If the top cover is opened during operation, the system will immediately trigger a forced interruption of the UAM host power, eliminating the risk of pinching and splashing.

Smooth continuously variable transmission (CVT): Directly connected to the P-UAM universal host drive, providing a wide CVT range of 25 – 225 rpm, which can flexibly adjust the shear energy according to different viscosity stages.
Stable metal frame: Standard configuration includes a factory-designed adjustable metal frame, which effectively absorbs the reaction force during heavy load kneading, ensuring stable and quiet operation of the equipment.
