J&M TIDAS® L 900 NIR Near-Infrared Spectrometer

The TIDAS® L 900 NIR (a brand under the German Pharma Test Group, J&M) is a high-performance, integrated diode array near-infrared spectrometer designed for pharmaceutical quality control (QC/QA), research and development laboratories (R&D), raw material identification (Raw Material ID), blend uniformity, and process analysis (PAT). The device integrates a high-efficiency 7.5W halogen light source, a 256-pixel high-sensitivity InGaAs diode array detector, and an embedded touch-screen industrial computer system into a single unit, enabling non-destructive, rapid, and highly reproducible real-time acquisition of near-infrared spectral information in the 1100–2100 nm range.


I. Integrated independent touch architecture with built-in 10.4-inch touch screen, Win 10 IPC, 64GB SSD and TIDASDAQ 3 software; body size 47 × 37 cm, 12 kg, no external computer required for testing upon power-on.


II. The high-speed, non-moving optical system is equipped with a 7.5W halogen light source and an InGaAs 256-pixel diode array (1100 ~ 2100 nm), featuring a solid-state anti-vibration design and supporting millisecond-level full-spectrum real-time acquisition.


III. Excellent optical precision and signal-to-noise performance: Spectral resolution < 6 nm, wavelength accuracy ±0.5 nm, reproducibility < 0.01 nm, photometric accuracy ±10 mAU, SNR > 250:1, 16-bit conversion ensures high-precision analysis.


IV. Fiber Coupling and Compliance: Standard configuration includes SMA 905 fiber optic interface, 2 IN / 2 OUT digital I/O and Gigabit network; compliant with 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+, USP <856> and EP <2.2.40>, with original manufacturer IQ/OQ.

    • Highly stable halogen light source and wide band coverage : Integrating a 7.5W tungsten halogen long-lasting light source with an InGaAs 256-pixel diode array detector , the spectral measurement range covers 1100–2100 nm (near-infrared first and second order overtone/combined frequency range).

    • All-solid-state shock resistance and ultra-fast acquisition : There are no mechanical spectrometers, interferometers or mirror moving parts inside, eliminating the risk of mechanical wear and wavelength drift; it has excellent shock resistance and supports millisecond-level (ms) full-spectrum high-speed synchronous acquisition.

  • Superior optical precision and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) performance

    • High-precision optical specifications : spectral resolution < 6 nm (FWHM) , wavelength accuracy up to ±0.5 nm , wavelength reproducibility < 0.01 nm , absorbance/photometric accuracy up to ±10 mAU .

    • High signal-to-noise ratio and high dynamic range : Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) > 250:1 , combined with a 16-bit A/D analog-to-digital converter , ensures that it can still output highly linear and reproducible spectral data under weak transmission or diffuse reflection signals, laying a solid foundation for chemometrics models.

    • Industrial-grade communication and PAT interoperability : Built-in 2 IN / 2 OUT digital I/O interface and Gigabit LAN Ethernet port, enabling seamless integration of process equipment (such as flow layers, mixers, and ingot presses) for real-time PAT interlock control.

    • Global pharmacopoeia and data integrity compliance : Fully compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 , EU GMP Annex 11 , ALCOA+ , USP <856> (near-infrared spectroscopy) and EP <2.2.40> , standard electronic signature and audit trail, and provides original manufacturer's complete IQ/OQ validation documentation.
