J&M TIDAS® L 1100 Raman Spectrometer

The J&M TIDAS L 1100 Raman Integrated Diode Array Raman Spectrometer is specifically designed for pharmaceutical quality control/QC/QA, drug research and development (R&D), polymorph screening, and process analysis (PAT) technologies. The equipment integrates a high-sensitivity back-illuminated cooled CCD detector, a transmission volume phase grating (VPHG) optical engine, and an embedded industrial computer touchscreen system in a robust and compact chassis. It can analyze the molecular structure and fingerprint patterns of various active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, capsules, and dosage forms in a completely non-destructive, non-invasive, and highly reproducible manner in real time. This equipment fully complies with the pharmacopoeia standards of various countries such as USP <858> and EP <2.2.48>, and can completely eliminate the errors and time-consuming nature of traditional cumbersome sample pretreatment. It is an indispensable core tool for solid preparation quality inspection, chemical reaction kinetics monitoring and immediate release inspection.

I. The integrated industrial touch architecture occupies only 47 x 37 cm, with a built-in 10.4-inch touch screen, Win 10 industrial computer and TIDASDAQ 3 software, and can be tested immediately upon power-on without the need for an external host.

II. The high-pass volume phase grating optical engine features an f/2.2 aperture, a 1200 l/mm VPHG grating, and a 175 cm⁻¹ edge filter, providing a shift range of 0–3200 cm⁻¹ and a high resolution of < 7 cm⁻¹.

III. The high-sensitivity back-illuminated cooled CCD detector uses Hamamatsu S7031 cooled CCD (1024 x 128 pixels) and a 16-bit converter, achieving a signal-to-noise ratio of 800:1 and supporting ultra-fast scanning from 12 ms to 10 s.

IV. Standard fiber coupling, PAT linkage and regulatory compliance: Features an SMA 905 fiber interface, Gigabit networking and 2 IN/2 OUT digital I/O, complies with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and provides original manufacturer IQ/OQ validation.

Equipment Introduction

  • Integrated Compact Architecture & Touchscreen IPC Control

    • Embedded IPC & Intuitive 10.4" Touchscreen GUI: The device directly integrates a 10.4-inch high-resolution color touchscreen, a Windows 10 industrial PC (IPC), and a 64 GB high-speed SSD. It also features built-in TIDASDAQ 3 spectral analysis software, which can run tests independently upon startup, instantly plot spectra, and store data, completely eliminating the need for external computers and cumbersome cabling.

    • Compact Benchtop Footprint & Plug-and-Play: The base measures only about 47 x 37 cm and the entire unit weighs about 12 kg. It features a high-strength, anti-interference casing that can be easily placed on a standard laboratory table, ventilation cabinet, or production line inspection station. It also supports a wide voltage input range of 85–265 VAC, providing excellent spatial flexibility and environmental adaptability.

  • High-Throughput Optical Engine & Precise Spectral Resolution

    • Volume Phase Holographic Grating & High-Throughput f/2.2 Optics: Equipped with a 1200 l/mm transmissive volume phase grating (VPHG) and a high-throughput numerical aperture of f/2.2, along with a 30 x 2500 µm precision input slit, it maximizes the capture of weak Raman scattering signals, providing excellent signal collection efficiency.

    • Wide Raman Shift Range & 175 cm⁻¹ Edge Filter: Employing a 785 nm excitation laser-adapted optical system, the spectral measurement range covers 785–1050 nm (Raman shift 0–3200 cm⁻¹), with an optical resolution of < 7 cm⁻¹ (FWHM). Equipped with a 175 cm⁻¹ edge filter, it effectively filters Rayleigh scattering noise and accurately resolves low wavenumber crystal structures and molecular fingerprint patterns.

  • High-Sensitivity Back-Thinned TE-Cooled CCD & Fast Acquisition

    • Hamamatsu TE-Cooled CCD Array (800:1 SNR): Utilizing Hamamatsu's S7031 back-illuminated chip (1024 x 128 pixels) and thermoelectric cooling (TE-Cooled) technology, it effectively suppresses dark current noise. Paired with a 16-bit A/D converter, it provides a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 800:1 and a wide dynamic range.

    • Millisecond Exposure & Real-Time Dynamic Monitoring: Supports millisecond-level integration time settings from 12 ms to 10 s, enabling millisecond-level real-time spectral scanning. It can accurately handle tasks such as real-time dynamic monitoring of fast-moving flow, observation of polymorphic dynamic phase transitions, and routine QC rapid release inspection.

  • Versatile Interfaces, Process PAT Integration & Regulatory Compliance

    • Standard SMA 905 Fiber Coupling & Digital I/O Control: Equipped with dual standard SMA 905 fiber interfaces (including illumination fiber cascading), and featuring 2 IN / 2 OUT digital I/O ports and Gigabit Ethernet (TCP/IP 10/100/1000 Mbit/s), it can seamlessly connect to various solid/liquid/immersion Raman probes, facilitating integration with online process analysis (PAT) technology and automated production lines.

    • Fully compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 and global pharmacopoeia guidelines (FDA 21 CFR Part 11 & Complete IQ/OQ Documentation): The software supports export in spectral formats (CSV, ASCII, JCAMP-DX) and integration with chemometric analysis software, fully compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11, ALCOA+ data integrity principles, and USP <858> and EP <2.2.48> pharmacopoeia standards, and provides a complete original manufacturer's IQ/OQ validation documentation.
