Logan FTC-800 Pioneer Of Topical And Transdermal Testing

The Logan FTC-800 Automated Flow-through Diffusion Cell System is specifically designed for research on the in vitro transdermal (IVPT) permeability and in vitro release (IVRT) of semi-solid preparations (ointments, creams, gels), transdermal patches, oils, liquids, and cosmetics. This system fully complies with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) <1724>, the European Pharmacopeia (EP), and the US FDA/EMA regulations and guidelines for topical preparations and transdermal drug delivery systems.

I. Patented Dry Heat Flow-Through Cell Configuration: Equipped with up to 8 independent dry heat flow-through cells, designed for precise formulation and standard single-batch release experiments of 8 control cells in R&D laboratories, combining high experimental flexibility with a compact footprint.

II. Dual-group 8-channel ultra-stable pulseless syringe pump: Adopting an ultra-high precision dual-group 8-channel syringe pump drive system, it provides extremely stable, pulseless constant flow rate control, completely eliminating the pulsation disturbances and flow field variations caused by traditional peristaltic pumps.

III. Patented tiltable rapid de-bubbling mechanism: The innovative manually tiltable flow cell holder (Tiltable Manifold) can quickly remove air bubbles inside the cell and pipelines before filling and testing, ensuring that the biomimetic membrane or biological skin slice maintains 100% tight adhesion.

IV. Strict Compliance and Data Integrity Management: The built-in intelligent color touch control system fully supports an unalterable, full-featured audit trail mechanism and multi-level user access control, fully complying with GMP/GLP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 and ALCOA+ data integrity regulations.

Equipment Introduction

  • High-Throughput Dry-Heat Flow-Through Diffusion Platform

    • Up to 8 Flow-Through Cells Layout : The system is equipped with a patented dry-heated modular mounting base that can accommodate up to 8 independent flow cells, supporting high-throughput simultaneous or parallel control tests of 8 samples.

    • Broad Formulation Versatility: Specifically designed for in vitro transdermal (IVPT) and in vitro release (IVRT) penetration studies of semi-solid formulations (ointments, creams, gels, lotions, clays), transdermal patches, oils, liquids, and functional cosmetics.

    • High-Tolerance PEEK Cell Design : Precision-processed medical-grade high-purity PEEK material, resistant to acid and alkali corrosion and surfactants; patented structural design ensures that the skin or artificial membrane remains flat and smooth throughout the entire testing process, without deformation or shrinkage.

    • Patented Bubble-Free Manual Tilt Manifold : The flow cell rack is equipped with a tilting and lifting venting mechanism. During the pre-filling and initial testing phases, the rack can be tilted with one click to quickly remove all residual microbubbles from the venting end, ensuring that there are no dead angles in the interface of the medium flow.

  • Ultra-precision dual-stage syringe pump flow control and independent dry-heated temperature control.

    • Offset Precision Dual-Syringe Pump System: Through alternating continuous push-pull precision injection pumps, the medium is drawn from an external storage tank and pushed through a heating and preheating station to generate an ultra-uniform, pulseless constant micro-flow rate (0.1 ~ 4.0 mL/min) with a flow volume accuracy of 0.1 mL.

    • Individual Cell Inlet Temperature Monitoring : Equipped with a high-precision independent temperature sensor, it monitors the temperature of the receiving medium entering each flow cell in real time, ensuring that each cell is highly uniform under the physiological temperature standard (room temperature to 45°C).

    • Inline Heat Wrap & Preheat Station : The medium passes through a high-efficiency constant-temperature preheating station before entering the flow tank, avoiding temperature fluctuations in the tank caused by the injection of low-temperature solvent, and ensuring a highly realistic dynamic permeation environment.

  • Fully Automated Multi-Point Sampling & Collection System

    • Dual-mode flow collection (Waste & Tube Fraction Collection) : Intelligent switching valve control allows for the discharge of pre-filled flushing waste into the waste tank according to the set method, and precise automatic diversion and collection of permeate at each time point into test tubes or sample bottles.

    • Multi-Time-Point Automated Collection : Integrates with the SCR-DL collector, supporting automatic collection to standard test tube trays according to schedule, completely eliminating the time and volume errors of manual sampling.

    • Integrated Touchscreen Controller : Equipped with a large color touchscreen, graphical Chinese/English guided operation, and a built-in complete test method library and real-time parameter monitoring.

    • Built-in Thermal Printer : The machine comes standard with an instant printer that can directly print out the flow rate, temperature records, test time, and operating status summary of each pool after the test is completed.

    • Complete Audit Trail and Access Control (21 CFR Part 11 Audit Trail & User Security) : Features multi-tiered user password access control, real-time electronic signatures, and tamper-proof complete audit trail records, fully compliant with FDA 21 CFR Part 11, cGMP/GLP, and ALCOA+ data integrity requirements.
