Logan DSC 800 & SCR DL Syringe Pump Injector Workstation

The Logan 850-DL fully automated dissolution sampling and collection workstation is designed for pharmaceutical QC and R&D, featuring a cross-brand open and compatible architecture. A single unit can simultaneously control up to two 12-basin or four 8-basin dissolution systems. The system integrates high-precision syringe pump sampling, online secondary filtration, equal-volume replenishment, and an independent cleaning flow path, easily overcoming the challenges of sampling high-viscosity samples and fully complying with USP, EP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and GMP/ALCOA+ data integrity requirements.


I. Cross-brand compatibility and multi-machine control: Compatible with various brands of solvent separators on the market, existing equipment can be directly automated without replacement; a single DSC-800 can simultaneously control up to 2 12-tank or 4 8-tank solvent separators.


II. Online secondary filtration and high-precision sampling: Supports automatic filtration with commercially available 1.3 / 2.5 / 3.8 cm needle filter membranes; high-precision syringe pump sampling range of 0.1 to 20 mL (10 mL sampling error within ±0.2 mL), overcoming the resistance of high-viscosity media; standard configuration includes test tubes with 20 sampling points and an HPLC Vial collection rack.


III. Independent flow path and constant temperature medium replenishment: a single-point 10 mL sampling takes only about 22 seconds; the sampling, equal volume replenishment, dilution and bidirectional cleaning flow paths are completely independent, eliminating cross-contamination, and providing dual configurations for room temperature and constant temperature replenishment.


IV. Single-page touch operation and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance: The DSC-800 features a single-page intuitive touch interface with 100 built-in method storage; it has 4 levels of user permissions and 3 million unalterable audit trails, and supports USB data export and printer connection output.

  • High-precision syringe pump sampling and advanced fluid handling.

    • Wide volume range and high sampling precision :

      The sampling volume setting range is 0.1 mL to 20 mL, and the accuracy error of 10 mL sampling is strictly controlled within ±0.2 mL. Actual tests show that micro-sampling of 0.2 mL and 0.5 mL also has high consistency and stable reproducibility.

    • High-Viscosity Media Capability & Rapid Sampling Cycle :

      The patented flow path and high-thrust syringe pump design can reliably handle high-viscosity solvents or difficult-to-pump samples; a single 10 mL sample can be taken in about 27.9 seconds, and it conforms to the smooth ergonomic sampling logic.

  • Fully automated all-in-one function and intelligent secondary filtration (All-in-One Automation & Universal Secondary Filtration)

    • Fully Automated Processing Module (Sampling, Dilution & Media Replacement) :

      This machine integrates multiple functions such as automatic sampling, equal-volume medium replenishment, online quantitative dilution, automatic cleaning, and reflux, significantly reducing tedious manual work.

    • Universal Multi-Size Secondary Syringe Filtration System :

      Completely replaces manual filtration and is fully compatible with standard needle filter membranes from various brands on the market.

    • Versatile 20-Position Fraction Collector & Custom Racks :

      It offers the ability to collect samples at up to 20 sampling time points, with a standard configuration of a 10×16 mm glass tube rack and an HPLC Vial autosampler rack, and a custom 20 mL tube collection rack is available as an option.

  • Independent Closed-Loop Fluidics & Dual Replacement Modes

    • Zero Cross-Contamination & Isolated Tubing Design :

      Sampling, dilution, cleaning, replenishment, and reflux are all operated through independent closed pipelines, suitable for various organic solvents and aqueous solvents, completely eliminating cross-contamination of samples.

    • Ambient & Isothermal Media Replacement Options :

      Two configuration options are available: "room temperature replenishment cleaning tank" and "constant temperature replenishment cleaning cup" to ensure that the replenishment solvent maintains the set temperature and does not affect the thermal balance inside the dissolution tank.

  • Dual-Solvent Automated Washing System & Mechanism

    • Two-Stage Dilution & Thermal Flush Principle :

      After the experiment, the system automatically initiates a two-step sequential cleaning procedure. In the first stage, the tubing is quickly replaced and flushed with solvent B (the dissolution media used in this experiment) to dilute the high concentration of sample and main component remaining at the last sampling point to a minimum. In the second stage, solvent A (warm water) is introduced for warm water cleaning to ensure that no residue adheres to the tubing walls.

    • Specifically designed for surfactants and difficult-to-clean solvents .

      Specifically developed for formulations containing surfactants (such as SDS, Tween, SLS, etc.), polymers, high-viscosity suspending agents, or difficult-to-wash solvents that are prone to crystallization and precipitation, it can effectively prevent pipeline crystallization blockage and emulsion residue.

    • Comprehensive Fluidic Path Purge & Zero Carryover :

      The cleaning process covers all contact fluid paths, including the sampling needle, quantitative injection pump, and delivery lines to the replenishment line, achieving fully automated, non-disassembly-free deep cleaning and completely eliminating cross-contamination between batches and point-to-point samples.

  • Cross-Brand Open Architecture & Multi-Unit Control

    • Universal Multi-Brand Dissolution Compatibility :

      With an open architecture design, it can be seamlessly connected to the pipelines of various commercially available dissolution testers to conduct dissolution collection experiments, and the upgrade to an automated sampling system does not require the replacement of existing equipment.

    • Multi-Tester Simultaneous Workstation Control :

      A single DSC-800 smart controller can simultaneously drive up to four 8-tank dissolution testers in series, significantly improving laboratory testing throughput.
