The Pharma Test / Pharmag P-CM Cone Mixer Attachment (Part No. 40-01360) is designed for pharmaceutical formulation research and development (R&D), dosage form laboratories, and pilot plants. This module connects directly to the P-UAM universal motor drive or P-UGD universal gearbox via standard quick-release flanges. It is specifically designed for the highly uniform and gentle tumbling mixing of free-flowing powders, dried granules, pellets, and shear-sensitive active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), providing highly reproducible blend uniformity and fully complying with the stringent requirements of cGMP, FDA, and the International Pharmacopoeia for solid dosage form mixing processes and cleanliness.


I. Adopting industry-standard mounting flanges, it can be quickly installed and removed from the P-UAM / P-UGD drive system in seconds without complicated tools, greatly saving equipment purchase costs and laboratory table space.


II. It has a geometrically symmetrical conical mixing chamber, which uses the rotation of the container to generate continuous, interlacing, tumbling and convective diffusion motion, which can quickly achieve microscopic uniform mixing of multi-component powders under extremely low shear force, effectively preventing fragile particles from breaking or deteriorating due to excessive heat.


III. Equipped with a pharmaceutical-grade quick-release sealing cap and a solvent-resistant food-grade silicone sealing ring, ensuring 100% dust leakage and cross-contamination during mixing operation; the whole machine adopts a tool-free modular structure, and the mixing tank body can be removed from the self-drive shaft in seconds for loading, unloading or sterilization.


IV. All parts in contact with materials are made of high-specification AISI 316/316L stainless steel, with the inner surface treated with high-grade mirror polishing (Ra < 0.8 µm), free of any dead corners, blind holes and crevices, making it easy to clean and sterilize the entire machine and autoclavable, fully complying with cGMP, GLP and FDA cleaning effectiveness standards.

    • Built-in 3 Stainless Steel Mixing Shafts/Baffles : The cone is specially equipped with 3 precision stainless steel turbulence shafts, which can actively break up material agglomeration and guide the powder flow to recombine during rotation, eliminating the dead zones in the center of traditional cone mixers, and at the same time significantly shortening the mixing time required to achieve homogenization.

    • Gentle Low-Shear & Thermal Protection : With no internal high-speed cutting blades, it effectively avoids frictional heat generation, material crystal structure damage, or the crushing of fragile pellets/particles. It is especially suitable for dry homogenization mixing of heat-sensitive, highly shear-sensitive, and fragile materials.
